I'd say we're investing in the Caiman Ballistic System if Ops-Core doesn't update their line packing and retention system. Wearing the gas mask and Peltors with the Cayman was much more comfortable than wearing the Ops-Core with just the Peltors... The smoothness of the liner retention system and the comfort of the pads were the best part of the helmet. I could wear the helmet system for 8+ hours and not complain. Ops-Core gives me a lot of pain after wearing it for about 6 hours.
My boys brought headphones to wear with Batlskin Caiman helmets. They tested the helmet with Peltor CONTAC III and TCI Liberator II headsets. Both headphones fit snugly under the Cayman helmet without restricting movement or impact from the helmet to the headphones. The Cayman helmet is much lighter than the old style of helmet we currently use, and the targeted design reduces fatigue. With integrated Velcro pads and an ARC rail on the helmet, it's easy to attach Velcro counterweight bags, mount cameras, lights, and NVDs. The Caiman Ballistic helmet is a great choice for a change.
