Hk 45 Auto - The Heckler & Koch HK45 (Heckler & Koch, .45 ACP) is a semi-automatic pistol designed by the German gun manufacturer Heckler & Koch.
Because the US military had a plan to arm them with .45 ACP semi-automatic instead of 9mm M9 pistols. The Heckler & Koch HK45 was developed with the help of SFOD-D restoration operator Larry Vickers and firearms instructor K Hackathorn. The Joint Combat Pistol program was suspended in 2006 and eventually rescinded due to tire costs for the U.S. armed forces. The M9 pistol remained the standard pistol for the US military until the adoption of the Sig P320 by the US military in January 2017. Although the Joint Combat Pistol program failed, HK decided to make the HK45 commercially available. which pertains to military laws and groups of people.

The HK45 Compact Tactical is currently available as a conventional double-action/single-action pistol (the V1 model with the safety/release lever mounted on the left frame) and as a "slick side" LEM (law mode) V7 model using a double action trigger HK only and no external safety / bar trim.
