It is very comfortable and with the magazine in the pistol grip, the balance makes it easy to handle when using one hand in semi-auto mode. This makes the MP7 perfect for dog handlers, motorcycle cops and similar roles.
However, the AR platform offers many advantages. First, it's an AR, and the training gap between the MP7 and the M4 is wide. The gap between the M4 and FourSix is small. CMMG magazines have the same dimensions as an AR mag and they allow the use of MIL-SPEC reduction.
Shooters can lower the FourSix height to the M4 and simply swap out the buffer, making the M4 a shorter and lighter PDW. CMMG magazines also fit standard M4 magazine pouches.
The wire stock and short nature of the MP7 makes it all about the red dots. Not good for the realistic range out to 150 yards that the 4.6x30mm round can do. With the proper stock, the FourSix makes it easy to mount a 1-4X optic to take full advantage of the round's scope.
