Glock 17 Gen 4 9mm - The original was still great and the Gen 3 came out, my wife and I spent a lot of time with it. Forgiveness and a little flexibility don't need much to work well. 2k rounds with a tungsten guide rod feel strong and can be a long range gun with a set of aftermarket sights. It's easy to learn, not great for anyone but little hidden toys.

I bought a 1 17 gen in the late 80's early 90's. I put countless cycles through it and it works like a champ every time. I have many guns. But it is me who has saved me and my life.

This is one of the best 9mm pistols out there. I have several and the Glock 19 is #1 in the US, but NATO FMJs are good practice and not crap so a light, thin, concealed carry 9mm Glock 17 Gen 4 feels great with a rear stock with a beavertail. High tolerance for ammo behavior. I usually use NATO 239 grain .45 acp Glock 21 models, but this is my 2nd favorite. Haven't tried the Gen 5 yet and I'm more comfortable with the Glocks Gen 4 range. A better recoil assembly could help with any FTE or misalignment issues.

Most use it without any understanding of its history. I modified the trigger and striker assemblies to improve the trigger and added optical fiber sights. It is 100% reliable! I have had it for about 7 years. Steel cased, factory remanufactured, and old ammo-it eats it up and spits it out! I have a collection of guns and buy and sell them, but I'm keeping this.

I bought my G17, Gen4, to carry a 9mm single action for use on the range. In the past I have been shooting a double action .40 cal. Shooting comfort and feel is excellent. It has back straps of different sizes, which is a plus. I installed the Ultimate pyramid flat trigger assembly, extended slide release and optical focus. However, straight out of the box it shoots well. In total I have about $900 in this gun, which I think is worth the price for my preferences. It fits my hand well, accurate, minimal recoil, crisp trigger break & quick reset, good balance and reliability. Drawing from the holster is smooth, but not much for concealment. The gun is large in size and used during tac Ops. Highly recommend this gun for the new or experienced shooter.

I have had my Gen4 Glock 17 for a few years now and feel it is one of the best 9mm pistols on the market today. I have installed the "Ultimate Pyramid Trigger Assembly" and fiber optic sights. These options increase the capabilities of this gun. In addition, large back strap and beaver tail for good comfort and convenience. Due to the design angle and size, getting a good grip from the shot is comfortable and smooth. Needless to say, speed is important in getting eye alignment for quick speed on target. As a service gun, carrying a heavy gun all day is light enough to not tire you. Accuracy during range or maneuvers is best. Shooting with my right or left hand is not a problem because it is well balanced. I have to be wrong either taking accurate shots or rapid fire. The bottom line is that I highly recommend this rifle for home defense, work, or competition shooting.

At one point in 2015, my friends had a situation where we had no fuel or cleaning supplies and none were coming soon. This is the British army, and we are glad we don't have to wash our guns and let them go around like two police engines that can't fire after a few weeks. I'm in a close and personal situation and this thing just goes on and on and on and on. To this day, I still have dreams about the gun they gave me and how it saved my life.

I have had my Glock 17, Gen 4 for about 5 years. To this day I still use it as my duty for several reasons; Power, accuracy, flexibility, weight, round count, balance, etc. The only change I made to my gun was; Pyramid trigger, TruGlow optical sight, stainless steel competition recoil spring and tape holder. All of these items are purchased by Having the "backstrap" option will give the gun a better fit in my hand. Having many other guns, the Glock 17, Gen 4 is my "go to" gun and I always feel confident when it's by my side.

I have a Gen 2 G17 which never misses a beat. I switched to new mags. Indeed, the men began to cry. I replaced the springs and replaced the connector. I've probably put 3000 rounds out of it and I would bet my life on it. Now I have 5 Glocks and have had no problems with any of them.
